On the second paragraph on page 15 the author speaks of America being the ideal nation filled with opportunity. That if you work hard all your work would be worth the trouble. That you work is always rewarded. That everyone will be equal if they everyone works just as hard. By coming to equal terms there will be no full control by just one party but everyone is in control. As well since there is no full control on one party there will be no secrecy between everyone. I feel since this is the start of Americas development he's seems to be a great example of a patriot during the times of Americas development. He speaks of the most affluent man being the one that see through inequality and learn to treat every one the same. That the nations as a whole should be equal no matter if it's the North or South. That slavery shouldn't occur in any geological section of the US. I feel like in that paragraph the speaker first speaks of what an American should be, but a well I feel that he speaking as the nation as a whole should act. During this time slavery was a major issue in the United States, the speaker often speaks of everyone being equal therefore it could be between male and female or blacks and white.
