"Shattered glass" was quite an interesting film, but even more interesting was Stephen Glass himself. His behavior seemed to me as if he was utterly deranged. The ability of someone to go so far as to completely fabricate entire stories and still not cave in when the truth was discovered simply blew my mind. It not only was bad journalism, but also bad ethics as well! Overall this movie proved John Milton's concept of "Marketplace of Ideas" to be true. The truth will always prevail among the freedom of the press. Granted it took quite some time to discover Glass's dirty secret, but it still happened and justice was served in the end. I also learned the importance of having correct sources and the serious consequences that fabricating can cause. Because of this incident, Glass's reputation was tarnished and his life as a journalist will most likely never return. To me Stephen Glass must have never been a journalist because a journalist's duty is to give their audience the truth.
